Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect (pull apart) the cooling fan motor wiring connector at the side of the fan shroud (8146).
2. Remove fan shroud.
3. Remove retaining screws, cooling fan motor and fan blade (8600) from fan shroud.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten cooling fan motor and fan blade retaining-screws to 3-6 Nm (27-53 inch lbs.).
3. Tighten fan shroud retaining screws to 3-5 Nm (27-44 inch lbs.).
4. Tighten fan clutch shaft to the water pump pulley hub to 50-62 Nm (37-45 ft. lbs.).
