Cassette Tape Player
CAUTION: Before turning off radio chassis or the Ignition switch of vehicle, always eject any cassette being played. Leaving the tape mechanism stopped while a tape is engaged can result in damage to the tape, pinch roller or capstan.Tape Error Messages
The premium analog cassette radio chassis is designed to diagnose certain inoperative cassette player conditions. The error codes are as follows:
^ Error 1-Possible tape cartridge jam
^ Error 2-Tape eject or load concern The luxury analog cassette radio chassis is designed to diagnose certain inoperative cassette player conditions. The error codes are as follows:
^ Tape Drive Error 1: When the end of tape has been sensed three times within 10 seconds, the mechanism will eject the cartridge instead of reversing for the third time. Display will scroll ERROR 1 five times and revert to radio mode. This feature prevents loose tape from spilling into the mechanism.
^ Tape Drive Error 2: If tape ejection is requested but the mechanism fails to eject the tape within 10 seconds, the cassette player will go into STOP mode. Display will scroll ERROR 2 five times and revert to radio mode.
^ Tape Drive Error 3: Tape will not load into cassette player. Push EJECT and reload tape. If error message appears again, try loading a different tape.
