High Pressure
REMOVAL1. Vent fuel lines. Perform Pre-Service procedures. Service and Repair
2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
3. Remove fuel pressure regulator shield.
4. Disconnect the fuel line at the quarter turn valve and the T-fitting for the coalescer/filter assembly.
5. Disconnect the fuel line from the upper tank in the lower tank rack assembly at the fuel fill valve fitting.
6. Remove two retainers from fuel line.
7. Remove fuel line assembly from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Replace O-ring seals.
CAUTION: Replace O-ring seals in the fittings. Lubricate O-ring seals with clean engine oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-F.
NOTE: Make sure all O-ring sealing surfaces are clean.
NOTE: Natural gas O-rings are identified with a yellow stripe. Do not use unapproved O-rings.
2. Position fuel line assembly.
3. Connect fuel line fitting to the T-fitting on the coalescer/filter assembly. Finger-tighten fitting.
4. Connect fuel line fitting to the quarter turn valve. Finger-tighten fitting.
5. Connect fuel line fitting to the fuel fill fitting on the upper tank in the lower tank rack assembly. Finger-tighten fitting.
6. Tighten all fuel line fittings to 34-37 Nm (25-28 lb ft).
7. Install fuel line retaining clips. Tighten retaining bolts to 8-10 Nm (71-88 lb in).
8. Pressurize fuel system as shown in Post-Service procedures. Service and Repair
