Front Washer Pump and Reservoir

Windshield Washer Reservoir-Thunderbird Shown, Cougar Similar:

REMOVAL
1. Remove screws retaining windshield washer reservoir.

NOTE: The windshield washer pump and seal are serviced separately.

2. Disconnect electrical connectors and window washer hose.

NOTE: Windshield washer reservoir will drain with window washer hose disconnected.

3. Remove windshield washer reservoir from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.

WARNING: WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID CONTAINS METHANOL WHICH IS POISONOUS. OBSERVE ALL CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS INDICATED ON LABEL OF WASHER SOLUTION CONTAINER.

NOTE: Do not operate windshield washer pump until fluid has been added to windshield washer reservoir to prevent component damage.

2. Fill windshield washer reservoir with fluid.
