Front
REMOVAL1. Remove front sub-frame.
2. Remove air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Remove stabilizer bar bracket bolts and stabilizer bar brackets.
4. Remove drive belt.
5. Raise vehicle on hoist.
6. Remove front tire and wheel assemblies.
7. Remove cotter pins and castellated nuts at the tie rod ends.
8. Separate tie rod ends from front wheel spindles using Tie Rod End Remover TOOL-3290-D or equivalent.
9. Remove transmission oil cooler line clip.
10. Remove front stabilizer bar to lower stabilizer bar link retaining nuts.
CAUTION: Use extreme care to avoid damage to ball joint seal. If seal is damaged, replace the stabilizer bar link assembly.
11. Remove stabilizer bar link from front stabilizer bar using Ball Joint Remover D88L-3006-A or equivalent.
12. Remove front stabilizer bar through right wheel opening.
13. Remove lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulators from front stabilizer bar.
INSTALLATION
1. Install lower suspension arm stabilizer bar insulators onto front stabilizer bar.
2. Position front stabilizer bar into vehicle.
3. Attach stabilizer bar link to front stabilizer bar. Tighten retaining nuts to 40-55 Nm (30-40 ft. lbs.).
4. Install stabilizer bar brackets and retaining bolts. Tighten to 53-72 Nm (39-53 ft. lbs.).
5. Install transmission oil cooler line clip.
6. Install tie rod ends to front wheel spindles. Tighten nuts to 53-73 Nm (39-53 ft. lbs.). Install new cotter pins.
7. Install front tire and wheel assemblies. Tighten lug nuts to 115-142 Nm (85-104 ft. lbs.).
NOTE: Do not use power tools, use Torque wrench.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. Install drive belt.
10. Install air cleaner outlet tube.
11. Install front sub-frame.
