Alternator: Testing and Inspection

1. Check the generator pulley for excessive looseness, cracks or other damage on the generator rotor shaft. Replace any generator pulley that is loose, cracked or bent.
2. Check the front and rear housings for cracks, particularly in the webbed areas at the mounting ear. Replace a damaged or cracked housing.
