Door Lock Switches

REMOVAL
1. Remove front door trim panel. Position watershield away from the access holes.
2. Disconnect the front door latch control cylinder rod at the door lock cylinder.
3. Disconnect anti-theft switch connector.
4. Remove outside door handle.
5. Remove door lock cylinder retainer. Remove door lock cylinder from the front door.





6. Before disassembly of the door lock cylinder switch from the door lock cylinder, mark the position of the front door latch operating lever and door lock cylinder switch as shown in the following illustration. The door lock cylinder switch can be installed in more than one position on the door lock cylinder. If not correctly positioned, the door lock cylinder switch will not operate properly. If replacing the door lock cylinder switch, mark new door lock cylinder switch exactly as old door lock cylinder switch.





7. Remove E-clip from door lock cylinder.
8. Remove front door latch operating lever and door lock cylinder switch from door lock cylinder.

INSTALLATION
1. Install door lock cylinder switch, front door latch operating lever, and E-clip to door lock cylinder.





NOTE: When installing a new door lock cylinder switch , make sure it is indexed correctly as shown in the illustration BEFORE installing on the door lock cylinder.







2. Install door lock cylinder to vehicle with door lock cylinder switch oriented as shown in the illustration, reversing Removal procedure.
- Verify door lock cylinder switch operation.
