Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the accelerator pedal and shaft to duplicate the condition.
2. Visually inspect the accelerator pedal and shaft and accelerator cable for obvious damage or interference.
3. Correct any obvious concerns, such as pedal interference from floormats or damage to cable.
4. If concern(s) remain after inspection, determine the symptom and go to Symptom Chart.
