Throttle Body: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Remove air cleaner outlet tube.
2. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from the throttle position sensor as well as accelerator cable at the throttle lever.
3. Remove four throttle body retaining bolts.
4. Carefully separate throttle body from intake manifold adapter.
5. Remove and discard throttle body gasket between throttle body and adapter.
INSTALLATION
1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.
NOTE: If scraping is necessary, do not damage gasket surfaces or allow material to drop into intake manifold.
2. Install throttle body, new throttle body gasket and four bolts to the intake manifold adapter. Tighten retaining bolts to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in).
3. Connect the fuel charging wiring to the throttle position sensor as well as accelerator cable to the throttle lever.
4. Install air cleaner outlet tube.
