Blower Motor Resistor: Service and Repair

Removal
The heater blower motor switch resistor is installed on the passenger side of the A/C evaporator housing behind the dash panel. Use only the specified resistor assembly for service replacement. Do not apply sealer to the resistor board mounting surface.
1. Remove the glove compartment.
2. Pull the wire harness connector from the heater blower motor switch resistor.
3. Remove two resistor retaining screws and remove the heater blower motor switch resistor from the A/C evaporator housing.

Installation
1. To install, position the heater blower motor switch resistor assembly in the A/C evaporator housing opening and install the two retaining screws. Do not apply sealer to the A/C blower motor resistor assembly mounting surface.
2. Connect the wire harness connector to the heater blower motor switch resistor.
3. Check the operation of the A/C blower motor.
4. Install the glove compartment.
