Piston Pin Fit






1. Check the outside diameter (OD) of the piston pin and record. If not 21.994-21.999 mm (0.8659-0.8661 inch) replace pin.





2. Check the inside diameter (ID) of the pin bore in the piston and record. If not 21.995-21.997 mm (0.86594-0.866602 inch) replace piston.





3. Check the inside diameter (ID) of the pin bore in the connecting rod and record. If not 21.959-21.979 mm (0.864528-0.865315 inch) replace connecting rod.
4. Replace any piston pin or connecting rod that is not within specification.
5. Subtract the piston's piston pin bore from the piston pin diameter. The difference is the clearance.
Clearance: 0.005-0.0115 mm (0.0001968-0.0004527 inch).

6. Subtract the connecting rod's piston pin bore from the piston pin diameter. The difference is the interferance.
Interferance: 0.015-0.040 mm (0.0005905-0.0015748 inch).

7. Replace any component that is not within specification.
