Rear Drum

REMOVAL
1. Remove cable tension. Tension Release
2. Remove wheel and brake drum assembly.
3. Disconnect parking brake rear cable and conduit end from parking brake lever. Using a 13 mm 12-point box-end wrench to press the conduit retaining prongs, remove front parking brake cable and conduit end pronged fitting from rear brake backing plate.
4. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit snap-in retainer from frame bracket using a 13 mm 12-point box-end wrench to press retaining prongs.
5. Disconnect front parking brake cable and conduit end from parking brake cable adjuster or parking brake intermediate cable at cable connector.
6. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit by sliding parking brake intermediate cable through clip on lower control arm.

INSTALLATION
1. Route parking brake intermediate cable through clip on rear suspension arm and bushing.
2. Connect front parking brake cable and conduit end to parking brake intermediate cable or parking brake cable adjuster. Route parking brake intermediate cable through clip on rear suspension arm and bushing and secure snap-in retainer into brake rear brake backing plate by pushing retainer fully until prongs are secure.
3. Connect rear parking brake cable and conduit end to parking brake lever.
4. Connect parking brake lever to parking brake cable adjuster or parking brake intermediate cable at cable connector.
5. Adjust parking brake cable. Adjustments
6. Lower vehicle and retest brake system.
