Intermediate

REMOVAL
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove cable tension. Tension Release
3. Disconnect parking brake intermediate cable from parking brake rear cable and conduit and front parking brake cable and conduit at cable connector.
4. Remove cable snap-in retainer from parking brake cable adjuster and body bracket using a 13 mm 12-point box-end wrench to press retaining prongs.
5. Remove front parking brake cable retainer for body side rails and rear crossmember by squeezing front parking brake cable retainer together with needle-nose pliers between parking brake intermediate cable and crossmembers.
6. Remove parking brake intermediate cable.

INSTALLATION
1. Route parking brake intermediate cable and secure snap-in retainer to body bracket and parking brake cable adjuster by pushing retainer fully until prongs are secure.
2. Connect cable ends to front parking brake cable and conduit and parking brake rear cable and conduit.
3. Secure cable front parking brake cable retainer to body side rail and crossmember by inserting front parking brake cable retainer fully into hole.
4. Adjust parking brake cable. Adjustments
5. Lower vehicle and retest brake system.
