Drum Brake System: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION
Rear drum brakes are non-servo, leading/trailing shoe design. Brake shoe and linings are applied against a rotating brake drum by the wheel cylinder. An incremental self-adjuster mechanism is actuated whenever sufficient wear occurs. Brake adjustment takes place in forward or reverse braking.
