Brake Pad: Testing and Inspection

CAUTION:
^ Do not allow rear brake shoes and linings to fall to floor.

NOTE:
^ Replace brake shoes and linings in complete sets.
^ Replace any brake shoe and lining that has been contaminated with oil, grease or brake fluid. Inspect and correct source of contamination.

FRONT
Inspect brake shoes and linings for wear. If lining is worn to within 3 mm (0.118 inch) of shoe, replace all four brake shoes and linings.

REAR
^ Remove rear disc brake caliper.

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove rear disc support bracket to inspect or replace rear brake shoe and lining.

^ Inspect lining for wear. If lining is worn to within 3.12 mm (0.123 inch) of shoe, replace all rear brake shoes and linings.
