Support Bracket
1. Raise and support vehicle.2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. If service to rear disc brake caliper assembly is not necessary, do not disconnect wheel brake hose from disc brake caliper.
4. Remove both brake pin retainers.
CAUTION: To prevent damage, do not allow disc brake caliper to hang by brake hose. Hang caliper from an S-hook or mechanics wire.
5. Remove disc brake caliper from disc brake rotor.
6. Remove inner and outer brake shoe and lining from disc support bracket
7. Remove the upper and lower disc support bracket retaining bolts. Remove support bracket.
8. Installation is in the reverse order of removal noting the following:
^ Install the disc brake caliper/rear disc support bracket assembly to the wheel knuckle. Install new bolts and tighten to 98-132 Nm (73-97 ft. lbs.).
^ Apply silicone brake caliper grease and dielectric compound to inside of disc brake caliper locating pin boots and to straight shaft of disc brake caliper locating pin.
