Electronic Door Lock Control System
The electronic door lock control system has three main components:
- the electronic door lock control processor located in the LH relay mounting panel in the luggage compartment
- the alarm and lock system antenna located on the LH side of the luggage compartment
- the four button (hand-held) keyless entry remote transmitter
The electronic door lock control processor performs the following functions:
- unlocks driver front door
- unlocks both front doors
- unlocks luggage compartment door
- locks both front doors
- turns on interior lamps when either door handle is lifted
- turns on interior lamps when using the keyless entry remote transmitter
- activates and deactivates PANIC security feature which sounds horn and flashes parking lamps
- activates battery saver feature which removes power from convenience lamps and interior lamps 45 minutes after last input to electronic door lock control processor
Inputs and Outputs
The electronic door lock control system receives inputs from the following:
- ignition switch
- door lock switches
- door open warning lamp switches
- interior lamp switches
- program connector
- keyless entry remote transmitters
- Transmission Range (TR) sensor
The system distributes output to the following:
- engine compartment lamp
- glove compartment lamp
- vanity mirror lamps
- power door lock actuators
- luggage compartment door latch
- interior lamps
- horn relay
- automatic headlamp dimmer relay (parking lamps)
