B5 - Check Wire Between Module and Rear Shoulder Strap Switch

- Key OFF.

- Disconnect the passive restraint control module connector C1 (driver side inoperative) or C2 (passenger side inoperative).

- Disconnect the rear shoulder strap switch connector on the inoperative side of the vehicle.

- Measure the resistance of the "Y/R" wire (driver side inoperative) or "W" wire (passenger side inoperative) between the passive restraint control module connector and ground.

- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

YES -- Go to B6. B6 - Check Wires to Safety Belt Retractor Motor

NO -- Service the wire in question.
