Steering Column and Air Bag Sliding Contact

NOTE: The air bag sliding contact is part of the turn signal and windshield wiper (multi-function) switch and is not serviced separately.

The air bag sliding contact is mounted on the turn signal and windshield wiper switch, behind the steering wheel. The air bag sliding contact transfers electrical signals from the steering column to the steering wheel for the air bag diagnostic monitor, the horn system, and the speed control system.
