Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the inlet air duct that connects to the throttle body and engine intake air resonator.

Throttle Body:





3. Disconnect the throttle body electrical connectors.
4. Disconnect the bypass air hoses from the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve.
5. Partially drain the cooling system and disconnect the coolant hoses from the IAC valve.
6. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle cam. If equipped with automatic transaxle, disconnect the throttle valve control actuating cable from the throttle cam.

7. Remove the four throttle body bolts.

8. Remove the throttle body.
9. Remove the throttle body gasket. Clean any remaining gasket material from the mating surfaces.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the throttle body bolts to 19-25 Nm (14-19 lb ft).
2. Refill the cooling system and check for leaks.
