Fuel Tank Mounting Straps: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the middle pipe shield.
3. Support the fuel tank with a suitable jack.

Fuel Tank Support Straps:

4. Remove the two fuel tank strap bolts from the fuel tank support straps.
5. Unclip the fuel tank support straps and remove them.

INSTALLATION
1. Clip the fuel tank support straps into their mounting positions.
2. Install the two fuel tank strap bolts. Tighten to 37-52 Nm (27-38 lb ft).
3. Remove the support jack from the fuel tank.
4. Install the middle pipe shield.
5. Lower the vehicle.
