Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure. Fuel Pressure Release
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.





3. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.
4. Disconnect the fuel and vapor return tube from the fuel pressure regulator.

Fuel Pressure Regulator:

5. Remove the two fuel pressure regulator bolts and remove the fuel pressure regulator and O-ring. Discard the O-ring.

INSTALLATION
1. Install a new O-ring onto the fuel pressure regulator.
2. Place the fuel pressure regulator into its mounting position and install the fuel pressure regulator bolts. Tighten the bolts to 7.8-11 Nm (69-95 lb in).
3. Connect the fuel and vapor return tube to the fuel pressure regulator.
4. Connect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
6. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
