Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure. Fuel Pressure Release
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Disconnect the fuel supply and fuel return line tube spring lock couplings.
4. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the upper intake manifold and valve cover.

Fuel Pressure Regulator:

5. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.

Wiring Harness Connector:

6. Disconnect the fuel charging wiring harness electrical connectors.

Supply Manifold:

7. Remove the three fuel injection supply manifold bolts and remove the fuel injection supply manifold.
8. Remove the fuel injector, grommets, and insulators.
9. Remove the O-ring seal from the fuel injector. Discard the O-ring seal.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the procedure. Lubricate a new O-ring seal with clean engine oil and install it onto the fuel injector.
2. Install the fuel injector, grommets and insulators onto the fuel injection supply manifold.
3. Install the fuel injection supply manifold. Tighten bolts to 19-25 Nm (14-19 lb ft).
