Fuel Injector: Description and Operation
Fuel Injectors And Related Components:
The fuel injectors mount between the fuel injection supply manifold and cylinder head, and connect to the fuel charging wiring. The fuel injectors receive pressurized fuel through the fuel injection supply manifold. The fuel charging wiring receives an electrical signal from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and transfers it to the fuel injectors. The injectors then open, spraying fuel (in vapor form) onto the valves and into the combustion chambers. The vaporized fuel then mixes with the air from the intake manifold for combustion.
