Dashpot: Description and Operation

Throttle Body:

A dashpot is attached to the throttle body. It allows the throttle plate to gradually close during deceleration. This action prevents hesitation during the transition from deceleration to sudden acceleration and prevents engine stalling on sudden deceleration.
