Oxygen Sensor Monitor
NOTE: This procedure is written assuming the use of a New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester. If a generic OBD II scan tool is used, it will be necessary to follow the instructions supplied by the manufacturer of the scan tool.Oxygen Sensor Monitoring Test:
DESCRIPTION
The Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Monitoring Test Results allows access to the on-board 02S sensor fault limits and actual values during the OBD II Drive Cycle. The test cycle has specific operating conditions that must be met (engine temperature, load, etc.) for completion. This information helps to determine the efficiency of the exhaust catalyst. Listed below are the tests and test identification numbers that are available.
