Component Tests and General Diagnostics

1. Disconnect fuel tank sending unit.
2. Connect Rotunda gauge system tester 021-00055, or equivalent, leads to fuel tank sending unit connector as follows:
a. Connect one lead to "Y" wire.
b. Connect other lead to ground.
3. Set tester to 22 ohms and turn ignition key to ON position.
4. Wait one minute and fuel gauge should read "E".
5. Set tester to 145 ohms.
6. Wait one minute and fuel gauge should read "F".
7. If gauge does not operate as specified, replace. If gauge operates as specified, refer to pinpoint test. Pinpoint Tests
