A6 Inspect ABS Sensor(s) and Indicator(s)

- Remove the wheel and tire assembly for the anti-lock sensor(s) or brake anti-lock sensor indicators in question.

- Check for damage to the anti-lock sensor(s) or brake anti-lock sensor indicators.

- Check for objects sticking to the anti-lock sensor(s) or brake anti-lock sensor indicators.

- Check the anti-lock sensor bolt(s) tightening torque: 16-23 N-m (12-17 lb-ft).

Wheel Speed Sensor:

- Check the clearance between anti-lock sensor(s) and brake anti-lock sensor indicators: 0.3-1.1mm (0.012-0.043 inch).

- Are the conditions OK?

YES -- Replace anti-lock sensor(s).

NO -- Replace anti-lock sensor(s) or brake anti-lock sensor indicator(s) as necessary to correct conditions.
