Test Notes

NORMAL OPERATION
The air bag diagnostic monitor checks the resistance of the passenger side air bag module pressure switch. Normal resistance from Pin C2-7 to Circuit 57 (BK) is between 235 and 265 ohms. If the resistance from Pin C2-7, Circuit 626 (P) to ground rises above the expected range, the air bag diagnostic monitor will store in memory (DTC B1937) and flash LFC 37 on the air bag indicator. If the high resistance is later serviced or otherwise falls into the normal range, the DTC B1937 will be stored in background memory.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Excessive Resistance In The Pressure Switch Circuit Can Be Caused By:

1. A disconnected pressure switch connector at the passenger side air bag module.

2. An open circuit or high resistance in the wiring harness in Circuit 626 (P).

3. an open circuit or high resistance in the ground connection Circuit 57 (BK).

4. An open circuit or high resistance in the passenger side air bag module pressure switch.
