Electronic Climate Control Module
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Radio Removing Tool T87P-19061-A:
2. Install the Radio Removing Tool T87P-19061-A into the integrated control panel face plate. Push the tools in approximately 38 mm (1.5 inch) to release the retaining clips.
CAUTION: Do not use excessive force when installing the radio removing tool as this will damage the retaining clips and make the integrated control panel removal difficult.
3. Apply a light spreading force on the tools and pull the integrated control panel out of the instrument panel.
4. Disconnect the wiring connectors and the automatic temperature control sensor hose and the elbow.
INSTALLATION
1. Connect the wiring connectors and the automatic temperature control sensor hose and the elbow to the integrated control panel.
2. Slide the integrated control panel into the instrument panel making sure that the rear support is engaged on the upper support rail.
3. Push the integrated control panel inward until the retaining clips are fully engaged.
4. Connect the battery ground cable.
NOTE: On vehicles equipped with Electronic Engine Control (EEC), when the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the EEC processor relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the strategy.
5. Check for proper operation of the climate controls, the radio, the cassette, and the digital compact disc player, if equipped.
