DESCRIPTION
The Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Valve is in-line with the EVAP Canister. The canister purge control valve controls the flow of fuel vapors out of the Evaporative Emissions Canister and closes off vapor flow from the Evaporative Emissions Canister when the engine is not running.

OPERATION
After the engine is started, in response to a signal from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Valve opens and closes to allow fuel vapors to flow from the Evaporative Emissions Canister to the engine.
