Lamp Out Warning System

Lamp outage is sensed by measuring the change in voltage drop across a circuit path within the lamp out.

CAUTION: Do not hook up additional lamps (i.e. trailer tow lamps). Do not replace bulbs with any type different from original equipment. Doing so may result in a false warning or no warning.






The lamp out warning system consists of:
1. Lamp out control module located in right rear inner fender behind luggage compartment trim panel.






2. Warning indicator in the instrument cluster.

The system operates when the ignition switch is in ACC or RUN and the headlamp switch is in PARK or HEAD position.

REAR LAMP OUT
REAR LAMP OUT monitors the functions of the following rear lamps:
1. park lamps
2. stoplamps
3. hi-mount stoplamps
