Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Perform Fuel System Pre-Service Procedures and Fuel Pressure Release procedure as outlined under Fuel Delivery And Air Induction/Service and Repair.
2. Remove fuel injection supply manifold.
3. Grasping fuel injector body, pull up while gently rocking fuel injector from side-to-side.
4. Inspect fuel injector O-rings (two per fuel injector) for signs of deterioration and replace as required.
5. Inspect fuel injector end cap, body and washer for signs of dirt and deterioration. Replace as required.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Never use silicone grease on fuel injector O-rings. It will clog the fuel injectors.

1. Lubricate new O-rings with clean engine oil XO-10W30-QSP or DSP or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M2C153-E.
2. Lightly push and twist fuel injectors into position.
3. Install fuel injection supply manifold.
4. Perform Fuel System Post-Service Procedures as outlined under Fuel Delivery And Air Induction/Service and Repair.
