Tachometer: Description and Operation

The tachometer operates in the following manner:
1. Receives its signal from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and displays engine rpm (in thousands).
2. Indicates engine rpm by the numbers and slash bars that represent 500 rpm.
3. Tachometer display consists of 15 bars for GL and GS models and will indicate 0-7000 rpm. The LX and LS model have 17 bars and will indicate 0-8000 rpm.
