Right Side

1. Relieve fuel system pressure.
2. Remove EGR backpressure transducer hoses from EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube.
3. Using suitable back-up wrench on EGR tube lower adapter, remove EGR tube from exhaust manifold.
4. Remove heat shield retaining nuts, then the heat shield.
5. Remove coolant bypass tube.
6. Remove exhaust pipe to manifold attaching nuts.
7. Remove exhaust manifold to cylinder head attaching bolts, then the manifold.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following.
a. Lightly lubricate nuts and bolts with engine oil.
b. Tighten manifold attaching bolts to 15-18 ft lb.
