Antenna Motor: Service and Repair

Removal

1. On sedan, open luggage compartment door and remove LH trim panel. On wagon, remove spare tire.

2. Remove radio antenna nut and radio antenna stanchion from electric antenna.

3. Remove one nut and one bolt retaining electric antenna inside luggage compartment.

4. Disconnect wire harness connector and radio antenna lead in cable from electric antenna and remove electric antenna from vehicle.

Installation

1. Connect wire harness connector and radio antenna lead in cable to electric antenna.

2. NOTE: Do not tighten nuts at this time. Install electric antenna with retaining bolt and nut.

3. Install radio antenna stanchion and radio antenna nut to electric antenna. Tighten radio antenna nut to 5.9-8.1 Nm (53-71 lb-in).

4. Tighten previously installed bolt and nut to 10.8-13.2 Nm (8-9 lb-ft).

5. On sedan, install trim panel in luggage compartment. On station wagon, install spare tire and cover.
