With Drum Brakes
NOTE: Wheel bearing and wheel hub are not serviced separately and must be replaced as an assembly.
REMOVAL
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove brake drum retainer and rear brake drum.
4. Remove rear axle wheel hub retainer.
CAUTION: Do not use impact wrench to loosen rear axle wheel hub retainer or damage to rear wheel spindle will result.
5. Remove wheel hub.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Do not use impact wrench to tighten rear axle wheel hub retainer or damage to rear wheel spindle and/or wheel hub will result.
1. Install wheel hub and rear axle wheel hub retainer. Tighten rear axle wheel hub retainer to 230-260 Nm (170-192 ft. lbs.).
2. Install rear brake drum.
3. Install wheel and tire assembly. Tighten lug nuts to 85 Nm (62 ft. lbs.).
4. Lower vehicle.
