These models use equal length driveshafts to minimize torque steer and to provide a smooth transfer of power to the front driving wheels. An intermediate driveshaft and support bearing are used on the righthand side to compensate for transaxle offset.

Inner CV joints are of the tripot type, while outer joints are of the ball and race type. Outer joints contain matched components and must not be intermixed.
