Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove front bucket seat.
2. Remove and discard bucket seat safety belt retaining nut from front safety belt buckle end assembly. Retaining nut is not reuseable. On LH side and under front seat, disconnect safety belt warning chime wire and pry locator off the seat.

CAUTION: Bucket seat safety belt retaining nut and stud have LH threads. Turning nut the wrong way while attempting to loosen it will damage seat frame.

3. Pull front safety belt buckle end upward to remove from seat.






INSTALLATION
1. Position front safety belt buckle end assembly as shown.
2. On LH side, connect safety belt warning chime wire and connect locator to seat. Install new bucket seat safety belt buckle retaining nut. Tighten nut to 38 Nm (28 lb ft).
3. Install front bucket seat.
4. Check the restraint system for proper operation and perform Functional Test Procedure.
