Test Notes

NORMAL OPERATION
Each primary crash front air bag sensor has three wires. Two of the wires are used for air bag deployment and monitoring the sensor connection to the air bag diagnostic monitor. (Refer to DTC 41 and DTC 42 diagnosis.) The third wire is used for monitoring the mounting (ground) of the primary crash front air bag sensor to sheet metal. (Refer to DTC 44 and DTC 45 diagnosis.) If diagnosis reveals that BOTH primary crash front air bag sensors are not connected AND the primary crash front air bag sensors are not properly grounded, the air bag diagnostic monitor will flash the air bag indicator continuously at a fast rate.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
All primary crash front air bag sensors disconnected from wiring harness or main wiring harness not connected with engine compartment wiring harness.
