ISSUE:
The LH side PCV Closure Tube may have a hole worn through it. This is due to mispositioning of the PCV closure tube in prior repairs. The tube then comes into contact with the water pump drive pulley which wears the tube.

ACTION:
Replace both the PCV closure tube and water pump pulley shield when servicing either the tube or the shield. The revised water pump pulley shield will improve the protection of the PCV closure tube, and provide a better routing of the tube. Refer to Instruction Sheet 7138, found in the Pulley Shield/Closure Tube kit, for details.

The Pulley Shield/Closure Tube kit contains the following:

^ PCV Closure Tube

^ Water Pump Pulley Shield

^ Instruction Sheet (I.S. # 7138)
