Inspection and Cleaning

Cleaning of the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve is not recommended. The PCV valve should be replaced at the specified mileage intervals.

Carefully inspect the PCV valve for splits or cracks. If the valve does not rattle when shaken, or is damaged, replace it.
