Oil Pump: Service and Repair

1. Remove oil pan and oil pump screen cover and tube.
2. Remove front timing cover.
3. Remove timing chains.

4. Remove crankshaft sprockets from crankshaft, then oil pump bolts in sequence.
5. Remove pump from cylinder block and inspect. Replace if necessary.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:

a. Torque oil pump bolts in sequence to 5.9-8.8 ft lb.
b. Fill crankcase to proper level with specified engine oil, then run engine and check for leaks.
