Overview - Supplement

This procedure will provide the detail to identify the engine cooling fan motor design to determine if any service is required. Once the design has been identified, you will be instructed on how to verify cooling fan motor operation. Based on the results of the verification test, you will be instructed to either install an electronic fuse or replace the cooling fan motor and blade.





NOTE:
On dual cooling fan applications, you will always either install two (2) electronic fuses or replace BOTH motors and blades. Never install only one (1) electronic fuse or replace only one (1) motor and blade.
When ordering fan and blades for dual cooling fan applications, only one kit will be required per vehicle.
