E2 Check Wheel Speed Sensor Circuitry For Short to Ground

- Install Rotunda 60-Pin Breakout Box 007-00033 and ABS Breakout Box Adapter 007-00115 or equivalents to ABS harness. Do not attach anti-lock brake control module.

- Using Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-R0051 or equivalent set to K ohms, measure resistance of suspect front brake anti-lock sensor or rear brake anti-lock sensor by measuring between breakout box pins per chart.

- Using Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-R0051 or equivalent, measure resistance of suspect front brake anti-lock sensor or rear brake anti-lock sensor circuit to pin 5 (ground) at breakout box.

- Is resistance less than 10 K ohms?

YES -- Service suspect circuit for short to ground. Clear all DTCs. Restore vehicle. Retest system.

NO -- Leave equipment installed. Go to E3. E3 Measure Wheel Speed Sensor Resistance
