Front Seat Belt, Retractor and Tongue
REMOVALNOTE: Seat Belt Bolt Bit T77L-2100-A (#50 Torx[r]) should be used for safety belt bolt removal and installation on front outboard safety belts. A metric socket is necessary to remove or install inboard front safety belt buckle ends.
1. Remove front seat cushion side shield.
2. Remove bolt retaining front safety belt retractor and tongue to front seat frame.
3. Remove B-pillar trim.
4. Remove door scuff plates/lower body center pillar.
5. Remove and discard front safety belt guide retaining nut. Retaining nut is not reuseable.
6. Remove guide retaining screw.
7. Slide safety belt through B-pillar trim.
8. Remove front seat belt retractor retaining screw and bolt.
9. Remove front safety belt retractor and tongue assembly from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Position front safety belt retractor and tongue in vehicle. Make sure safety belt webbing is not twisted. If it is, remove the twist.
2. Install front safety belt retractor retaining screw. Tighten bolt to 38 Nm (28 lb ft).
3. Slide safety belt through B-pillar trim.
4. Install guide retaining screw.
5. Install new safety belt guide retaining nut. Tighten nut to 38 Nm (28 lb ft).
6. Install door scuff plates/lower body center pillar.
7. Install B-pillar trim.
8. Install bolt retaining safety belt retractor and tongue to seat frame.
9. Install front seat cushion side shield.
10. Check the restraint system for proper operation and perform Functional Test Procedure.
