Ignition Coil Pack

Coil Pack:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove engine intake air resonators.
3. Disconnect wiring from the ignition coil.

Removing Ignition Wires At Coil Pack:

4. Disconnect ignition wires by squeezing locking tabs and twisting while pulling upward.
5. Remove four ignition coil retaining screws and remove ignition coil.

INSTALLATION
1. Position ignition coil onto mounting bracket at rear of cylinder head.
2. Tighten ignition coil retaining screws securely.
3. Apply Ford Silicone Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A (Motorcraft WA-10) or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171-A to all ignition wire boots.
4. Install each ignition wire connector to the proper terminal on the ignition coil. Make sure boots are fully seated.
5. Connect the wiring to the ignition coil.
6. Install engine intake air resonators.
7. Connect battery ground cable.
