ISSUE

The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0131, P0135, and/or P1131 may be stored in memory and may be accompanied with one or more of the following symptoms:

^ Surge during cruise or light acceleration

^ Decrease in fuel economy

^ Rough idle

This may be caused by a fatigued Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen (HEGO) sensor wire being pulled during engine rock which results in an erratic signal.
