Fig. 5 Righthand front engine support insulator replacement. Manual transaxle:
2. Remove through bolt from righthand front engine support insulator.
3. Remove righthand front engine support insulator to front subframe bolts, then insulator.
WARNING: When removing righthand front engine support insulator, always disconnect battery ground cable prior to removal. Contact of righthand front engine support insulator to alternator output terminal with battery connected may short alternator and battery to ground, causing possible injury and damage to vehicle.
4. if necessary, remove righthand front engine support bracket from transaxle.
INSTALLATION
1. Install righthand front engine support bracket to transaxle.
2. Position righthand front engine support insulator to front subframe, then install and loosely tighten bolts.
3. Install righthand front engine support insulator through bolt and loosely tighten.
4. Remove two front subframe through bolts and lefthand front engine support insulator bolt.
Fig. 2 Powertrain alignment gauge tool installation:
5. Install powertrain alignment gauge T94P-600-AH, or equivalent, to transaxle bracket and front subframe.
6. Torque two vertical bolts, then through bolt to 20 ft lb.
7. Torque righthand front engine support insulator bolts to front subframe to 7 ft lb. Observe position of righthand front engine support insulator. Insulator must be centered in transaxle bracket and in perfect front-to-rear alignment.
8. Torque righthand front engine support insulator through bolt to 75-102 ft lb.
9. Remove three gauge tool bolts and gauge tool.
10. Install lefthand front engine support insulator to front subframe with two bolts. Torque bolts to 7 ft lb. Observe position of lefthand front engine support insulator to ensure perfect front-to-rear alignment. Torque lefthand front engine support insulator bolts to 30-40 ft lb.
11. Install lefthand front engine support insulator through bolt.
12. Lower vehicle, then connect battery ground cable.
