E1 Check Wheel Speed Sensor Output







NOTE: Make sure the following conditions have not or do not exist prior to performing this pinpoint test:

- Individual wheel diameter too large.

- Dynamic wheel balancing was performed with ignition switch in RUN.

- Vehicle has been towed on rear wheels with ignition switch in RUN.

- One wheel has been turned with vehicle on hoist and ignition switch in RUN.

- Make sure that all wheels turn freely.

- Make sure that parking brake is operating properly and is not dragging on one wheel.

- Turn ignition switch to the OFF position.

- Raise vehicle on hoist.

- Inspect front brake anti-lock sensor indicator and rear brake anti-lock sensor indicator at each wheel for missing teeth or loose/missing ring.

- Check front brake anti-lock sensors and rear brake anti-lock sensors for proper mounting.

- Are front brake anti-lock sensor indicators, front brake anti-lock sensors, rear brake anti-lock sensor indicators and rear brake anti-lock sensors OK?

YES -- Go to E2. E2 Check Wheel Speed Sensor Circuitry For Short to Ground

NO -- Replace damaged components. Restore vehicle. Clear DTCs. Repeat On-Board Diagnostic.
